When buying sunglasses for the protection of your eyes you have to look for complete UVA/UVB protection. Those are the ultraviolet light that is harmful to your eyes. Protection against UV 400 is just as important. (These block light rays with wavelengths up to 400 nanometers, which means that your eyes are shielded from even the tiniest UV rays). Many doctors recommend that sunglasses should be worn every day and should protect against these damaging rays of light.

The hype around polarized lenses
Polarized lenses are made by melding two lenses together with a polarizing film in between. This allows light to only enter at one specific angle and thus taking the strain off your eyes with dealing with light from the sun and light reflecting of shiny surfaces.
Is it really necessary?? Simply put… Definitely! Take a drive in the early morning after sunrise or in the evening before sunset when window/dashboard glare is at its worst, sunglasses without polarized lenses will just not work. You will still be sitting there squinting like a fool. Polarized lenses have further advantages like reducing glare on water (great for fisherman), reducing reflections from pavements, snow and windows. Because it is two lenses and a film layer melded together it makes the lenses allot stronger. Polarized is just simply the way to go.

Part of protecting your eyes your sunglasses should have a comfortable fit. No use the sunglasses have perfect lenses but the squeeze your temples or keeps falling off your face. Because Woood sunglasses are made from 100% natural wood they are very strong and therefore to not bend out of shape. Our engineers have found a way to achieve that perfect fit. It comes in the form of our double spring stainless steel hinges. This allows the arms of the sunglasses to extend up to 30 degrees more outward. This caters for uniquely shaped heads and guarantees a snug and comfy fit for anyone wearing them.
